Hi, I’m Anna.
I’m so glad you’re here.
Hi friends. I’m Anna and I’m a global educator.
I am a doctoral candidate in Global Education and the scholar behind whole human pedagogy, particularly for education abroad.
I have led both outbound programs with U.S. students in South Korea, Japan, and Argentina, and inbound programs with students from Bolivia, Peru, and Brazil.
I pride myself on providing inclusive, anti-oppression-oriented education, community building, and mentorship for young people. I’ve had the pleasure of working with students representing each letter of LGBTQA; students from a wide range of race and heritage backgrounds, including students from several Indigenous communities; English-language learners; students who experience anxiety, panic attacks, ideation, depression, ADHD, ASD, and eating disorders; students with physical disabilities; students from every part of the socioeconomic spectrum.
As a global education scholar, I’m particularly interested in topics such as contemplative and critical pedagogies; education abroad program design and implementation; decolonial and anticapitalist frameworks; overachievement, burnout, and wellbeing; neurodiverse inclusion; and Euro-US epistemological dominance.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Guilford College and a Master of Theological Studies from Vanderbilt Divinity School. Both my academic and vocational work stems from the intersection of travel and meaning-making.
Work with me.
